About Me
I am extremely excited to be teaching Pre-K 1 this year! I graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education and Queens College with a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education. I am certified in New York State to teach Birth through 6th grade. I most enjoy working with children at the early childhood level. As children learn more about the world around them and the impact they have on the world, they allow the adults around them to rediscover some of what makes us all special. Some of the things I enjoy doing are listening to music and singing!

My Teaching Philosophy
Children learn best by having their own experiences. Allowing children to learn through play allows their learning experience to be organic. As children interact with materials and others around them, their knowledge base expands and their level of comprehension deepens. By providing children with organic learning experiences, we allow them to demonstrate their learning and what they know while continuing to challenge them. Every moment in a child’s life is an opportunity to teach them something new!

Pre-K Stepping Up Ceremony!

Posted on June 25, 2018

The youngest of our students joined in the graduation festivities at their Stepping Up ceremony on Tuesday, June 19th.  Faculty and administration joined families and friends to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2018 as they showed us what they learned.  From their ABC’s and 123’s to shapes, colors and the world around them, our Pre-K students are now ready to step-up to Kindergarten!

Congratulations to all!
