Grade 3 Mandarin Language Art

Our Mandarin Language Art learning will be in step with the English Language Art learning. We will focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking enhancing.

  • Chinese poem

Comprehension

  • Identify the main idea of a paragraph, story, and text
  • Identify the supporting details
  • Identify the 5Ws in a story or text (what, when, where, who, why)

Grammar

  • Types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, exclamatory)
  • Basic sentence structure (time, character, place, and event)
  • Punctuation (comma, period, question mark, exclamation mark)
  • nouns/proper nouns, verbs, descriptive words

Vocabulary

  • Pinyin of the vocabulary
  • English meaning of the vocabulary
  • Radical of the vocabulary
  • Antonyms/Synonyms/homophones

Writing

  • Basic sentence writing under the Chinese sentence structure
